Dear Parents and Guardians,

In our ongoing efforts to enhance your children’s safety, we have decided to begin using the PikMyKid dismissal application. Throughout the country, it has been proven to simplify dismissal, reduce traffic congestion, and most importantly, improve overall safety.

This app allows you to be in control of your child’s dismissal, and it gives the school complete information regarding dismissal and the ability to acknowledge every change and instantly check your child’s dismissal status should you have a question.

Please follow these short steps below to get ready for the start of school.

1. Download the PikMyKid App

The Pikmykid app is available for download on your smartphone’s app store (Google-Play, Apple Store). Each user will need to download and register on their own smartphone.

2. Register with the Same Email/Phone Number You Use for Veracross

Select “Create Account” and use the same parent email/phone number you use for Veracross. Follow the prompts to sign up. You will verify your email address and phone number to complete registration.

Please note: You must register for PikMyKid with the same parent email/phone number you use for Veracross. If you need to make updates to your email/phone number, please do so in the Veracross Parent Portal before registering for PikMyKid. You can do this by logging into Veracross, clicking "update profile," and editing your personal contact information.

3. How to Add a Child

We have connected your children automatically. If you see the “No Children” on your screen, tap on “Need Additional Help?” to reach the PikMyKid support desk.

4. Turn on "Auto Announce"

Once you're registered, navigate to your "Account" tab along the bottom of the app and choose to toggle ON the Auto Announce feature.

Please also be sure you have allowed your device to access location services for the app in your smart phone settings.

This allows us to see when your car arrives on campus without you having to manually declare your arrival.

5. Arrive on Campus As You Normally Do

Nothing about the carpool procedure is changing aside from the PikMyKid software alerting us of your arrival. This will eliminate the need for one of our staff members to manually input names into the carline document we use to send your children outside.

With "auto announce" and "location services" ON, your phone will automatically announce your arrival on the Pikmykid app. Staff will see you in the car line dashboard, just like if you had pressed the "announce" button yourself!

The unique features of PikMyKid allow you, as parents, to easily change pick-up modes, quickly delegate to an alternate individual for pick-up, or change attendance to the aftercare program. This app allows you to be in full control of your child’s dismissal, and it gives us complete information regarding your child’s dismissal status.
